SessionScribe is built around a simple rule: your conversation data stays with you. This policy explains what limited data we may collect for website, billing, and support operations, and what we do not collect from the app itself.

2. The Data We Collect

We may collect limited personal data in the following categories:

  • Purchase and Billing Data: name, email address, order details, and payment-related records shared by our checkout provider.
  • Support Data: information you send us when you contact support.
  • Website Technical Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device details, and related metadata generated when you visit the site.
  • Conversation Data: we do not collect your app recordings, transcripts, summaries, or notes.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use limited website and operational data to:

  • complete purchases and license fulfillment,
  • respond to support, refund, or billing requests,
  • operate, secure, and improve the website,
  • comply with legal obligations.

4. Conversation Data and Zero-Storage Policy

We maintain safeguards to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss of personal data.

Important: SessionScribe follows a zero-storage policy for conversation content. We do not upload, receive, or store your conversation audio, transcripts, summaries, or notes on our servers.

On supported Macs, SessionScribe uses Apple Intelligence to summarize transcripts within the Apple platform workflow, not a SessionScribe cloud service.

5. Data Retention

Purchase, support, and website operational data is retained only as long as necessary for legal, operational, and contractual purposes.

Conversation content is not retained on our servers because we do not receive it.

6. Your Legal Rights

You may have the right to:

  • access your personal data,
  • request correction of personal data,
  • request deletion of personal data,
  • object to certain processing,
  • request restricted processing,
  • request data portability,
  • withdraw consent where applicable.
